in German the word FUHRER means LEADER or GUIDE nothing more, nothing less & to us it's a proud family name with a long standing of family-owned businesses. Fuhrer's Tavern & Grill, which opened in 2020, is a 3rd generation of business. In 1959 Edward Fuhrer opened Fuhrer's Sunoco & Garage in Erie PA. In 1964 Terry Fuhrer bought the business from his dad. In 2003 Terry retired, moved to Mount Bethel & started Mount Bethel Towing.
