I’m not even sure there are words big enough for what we felt yesterday.
Just… wow!!!
From the moment the benefit started until the very end, Leroy’s was absolutely packed. Everywhere I looked, there were people showing up, hugging us, donating, buying raffle tickets, sharing stories, offering encouragement, and reminding our family just how incredibly loved my mom is.
What was supposed to be a benefit became so much more than that. It became a room full of love, support, friendship, family, community, and people coming together for one very special woman.
From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU.
Thank you to every single person who walked through those doors. Thank you to everyone who donated, bought raffle tickets, bought a shirt, gave their time, shared the event, prayed for Mom, checked on our family, helped behind the scenes, or contributed in any way. Every single bit of it mattered.
A very special thank you to Leroy and Lydia for so generously opening Leroy’s to us and allowing us to hold this benefit there. Your kindness and generosity gave us the opportunity to bring everyone together, and we will never forget what you did for our family.
Thank you to all of the amazing local businesses, friends, family members, and individuals who donated raffle items, baskets, gift certificates, their talents, time, and so much more. The generosity we witnessed was unbelievable.
And to everyone who helped make the day run, from setting up, selling tickets, working tables, helping with raffles, cleaning up, playing music, and doing the hundred little things most people never see, we appreciate you more than you know.
My mom wasn’t able to physically be there with us, but I hope when she sees the pictures, reads the messages, and hears the stories from yesterday, she understands just how many people are standing beside her.
Yesterday wasn’t just about raising money.
It was about showing Mom that through every appointment, every treatment, every hard day, every setback and every battle ahead, she is not fighting alone.
Our family walked away from yesterday overwhelmed, humbled, emotional, exhausted in the best possible way, and more grateful than I could ever put into words.
You showed up for my mom.
You showed up for my dad.
You showed up for our entire family.
And you gave us a day we will never, ever forget.
Thank you for loving our Mom. Thank you for supporting her fight. And thank you for reminding all of us what an incredible community of people we are blessed to have surrounding us.
With all our love and gratitude,
The Edmaiston Family
