Our Story

Shoji Lamps are based on the traditional Japanese art form for creating rice paper room dividing screens. These are given a functional twist as lamps. Each lamp is unique with a different design concept and unique purpose. No two lamps will ever be identical so each is an artwork in its own right. A variety of woods are used to create interesting visual effect. These may include Mahogany, Black Walnut, Cherry, Ash and Maple. Resin inlays may also be included. Some lamps feature quartered turnings in the casework. If you see one you like move fast once its gone-it’s gone. Custom designs can be arranged thru the exclusive distributor, The Minnow Bucket Antiques and Treasures in historic Port Royal Virginia.
