As many of you know, life-time Port Aransas residents and everybody’s favorite Port A Tiki bar owners, Macky and Mat Ward are recovering after a devastating house fire turned their lives upside down. Next Saturday there will be benefit for Macky and Mat Ward at Shortys. Their historically recognized house caught fire and ultimately was rendered uninhabitable and a total loss. We in this community would like to raise some money to help get the rebuild going. The benefit will be Saturday September 12th from 2-8. Macky and Mat are great guys and big supporters of live music and there’s a long list of musicians who are coming out to help put on a great show to help raise some money for these guys. Music will start at 2. There will be auction items and various other ways to contribute. I will be cooking up a big ole pot of Jambalaya also. If you are unable to attend and would like to help chip in there is a link at the bottom of this post. Come make a day of it for a great cause at the Oldest and Friendliest! Hit the share button.
