This review sums up the vision we had when we opened Chiefs, and that fact it was actually written by a customer is proof to us we executed the vision. Thank you all, and thank you Ronnie for the kind words.

“Chiefs Pub on Pine is a good old fashioned hole in the wall. Not that kind you degenerate. This is a family friendly review.

This is the kind of place where you walk in for one drink and three hours later you’ve made four new friends, solved half the world’s problems, and somehow agreed to help somebody move next Saturday.

Chiefs isn’t trying to be fancy, and that’s exactly what makes it great. The drinks are cold, the people are friendly, and the atmosphere makes you feel like you’re hanging out at your buddy’s house. Except your buddy has a liquor license, a much better beer selection, and his wife is not there asking when you are leaving.

It’s the kind of bar where you can walk in knowing nobody and leave feeling like you’ve been coming there for years. If Cheers was in Ponchatoula, it would probably be Chiefs.
Five stars. Come as a customer. Leave as a regular. And remember... it’s a hole in the wall. Just not that kind.”

Today is the official start of LSU football, which means it’s also the official changing of the seasons at Chiefs. 🏈

As summer and river season wind down and football season begins, we’re moving into our fall routine, just like we planned.

Monday–Thursday: Sports & Darts
Friday: Karaoke Night after 9 PM 🎤
Saturday & Sunday: Sports & Darts

We know we have a pretty even split around here. Half of y’all would karaoke seven nights a week if we handed you the microphone, and the other half would happily hide the microphone and throw darts while watching the game. 😂

So Friday nights are officially Karaoke Night. The rest of the week, the TVs, games and dart boards get the spotlight.

That doesn’t mean you’ll never see karaoke or something different on another night. Special nights and events will still happen and we’ll post those in advance.

Nothing dramatic. Nothing’s going away. Summer is ending, football is starting, and Chiefs is simply changing seasons.

And what better day to make it official than the day LSU football kicks off?

LAWD WHY, WHY LAWD 🙏. First it was Dolly and now … We just can’t take no mo.

Join us at Chiefs for a mourning period until NINE TWO FIVE (9/25). Every day we pledge to pay homage to these two legends gone too young.

Our patronage has experienced incredible losses and we should support them. Dolly started a lot of their days off with 9-2-5 playing on their way to work, and The Mansion often reminded them it was time to head to that 9-2-5 when they closed at 6am.

We are truly worried this could affect the circadian rhythm of some of our most loyal patrons.

Support them. Mourn with them. Open at 2.
