Hope everyone had a great week. Football's here, the kids are back to school and fall seems like has arrived! What's a good way to cap off the month of September? Have a meat raffle! We thought so too. Tomorrow, 09/24/2022 4:00-7:00 PM, we'll be doing just that. Everyone is welcome. Bring you friends and family, have a great time and hopefully leave with some steaks and bacon! Have a safe and fun weekend!

Everyone ready to fish!?
Next Friday, 08/19/2022, we kick off the annual fishing tournament! If you haven't registered yet, head to the club and grab a sign up sheet from the bartender. It's only $50 and you get a cool t-shirt. Plus all the food you can eat at the end when we have our cookout to celebrate! Who knows, you might get the biggin and get a cool prize too! So grab your gear and get out on the water, or shoreline, whichever one you decide.

JASC FISHING TOURNAMENT

Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful summer. Make sure you put that sunblock on! Especially if you're out fishing.

With that being said.... the John Alden Club fishing tournament is quickly approaching! We have sign up sheets available at the club in the member's lounge. If you would like to participate, come on down and fill out an entry form.

Below are the rules and regulations. There is a copy with every entry form. Thanks for participating. Enjoy the summer and we hope you catch the big one!

Rules and Regulations

1. Tournament dates are Friday August 19, 2022 12:00 Noon thru Saturday August 27, 2022, 12:00 Noon.
2. All fish must be caught with a rod and reel.
3. Boundaries are Cape Cod Bay, from Race Point to Farnham Rock, including the Cape Cod Canal up to the railroad bridge.
4. All applications must be received prior to start of tournament Friday August 19, 2022.
5. Entry fees are $50 for adults 18 and older prior to September 3. Youth fees are $20 age 17 and younger.
6. All fish must be weighed at one of the official weigh stations, John Alden Club, Cherrys Bait Plymouth Harbor and Canal Bait Cranberry Hwy, Bourne. Stripers will be your 2 largest fish between 28” and under 35 inches, total weight, total length and total girth. Bluefish is the largest fish, weight, length and girth.
7. Bar B Que will be on Saturday August 27, 2022 from 12 Noon to 4:00 PM. In the John Alden Pavilion (outdoors) Must be present at the Bar B Que to receive all prizes and t shirts.
8. Prizes for adults are First Place $500 , 2nd $250 , 3rd $100 in Striper and Bluefish categories. Youth prizes are assorted fishing rods and tackle.
9. Judges decisions are FINAL

Good afternoon from the John Alden! We hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful summer day. The summer concert series has finally arrived! All of John Hall and his team's hard work is about to pay off!

Let's get this party started! Come down for some music, food and a great time. This event and the future ones will be held outside at the Pavillion. There's plenty of room out there with picnic tables under the pavilion. If you want to take a breather on the lawn we suggest to bring a lawn chair. Unless your more of a blanket lounger. Either way the good times are there to be had!

Board elections are this Thursday 06/09/2022. This year we have four board of director, treasurer and secretary positions opening up. There is a sign up sheet at the bar for anyone who is interested in applying for a position. You must have a minimum of one year as member to apply. Good luck to all candidates!

MEAT RAFFLE!!!
Tomorrow 05/28/2022 starting at 4:00 PM. ALL ARE WELCOME! We will be raffling off a Weber grill too! So if any of you need a nice new grill for Monday, come down and try your luck.
