About two years ago I decided I didn't want to work a desk job anymore and I would like to work for myself. My brother and I would sit in my garage in the middle of winter brewing and talking about all the ideas we had. I've always shared my beer with friends and anyone who was interested in drinking something more flavorful than the typical American lite lager. I guess I finally heard enough peop

le say, "You should do this for a living." I took a couple formal courses to improve my brewing knowledge and learn the business side of running a brewery. Oval Craft Brewing will be a small micro brewery producing 10 barrel (1 bbl=31 gal) batches of craft beer. The brewery will have a taproom offering pints, flights of six samples and growler fills. The initial plan is to offer four year round beers and two seasonal beers. OCB will also serve New York small batch wine by the glass for those who don't want beer. I will self distribute my year round beers to local bars and restaurants.

First off thank you to everyone for the kind words and well wishes. Oval is having a party this Friday. Ryan Miller will be playing and we will have food. We're flashing back to opening May 13 2016 by pricing pints at $5 per pint for the last week. We will be open for normal hours through Sunday. Again thank you everyone.

It’s with a heavy heart I announce that I’m selling the brewery at the end of this month. This business has been an adventure to say the least. After a successful 9+ years open I’m getting tired.
In those 9+ years I’ve brewed 55 different beers. Rock Eater being my best seller at over 20,460 gallons sold. My favorite styles to brew are lagers. Of which, I’ve brewed 7 different styles and over 9,000 gallons. I’ve brewed everything from the ancient beer from 5AD to the time period Plattsburgh Plug Nickel for the battle of Plattsburgh, to Kahawa, Coffee Pale Ale. That beer was unheard of for that time. I would say it’s been a good run.
I want to thank everyone who has come in to have a beer with us. Thank you to the musicians who have entertained us. And thank you to the food trucks that have fed us.
I especially want to thank the Mug Club. They have been my rock at all times and a pleasure to get to know. I truly do love you guys. The best thing about my time owning and running Oval has been the people. You are what makes this place special. It has been an honor and a privilege.

It’s with a heavy heart I announce that I’m selling the brewery and building at the end of this month. This business has been an adventure to say the least. After a successful 9+ years open, I’m getting tired.
In those 9+ years I’ve brewed 55 different beers. Rock Eater being my best seller at over 20,460 gallons sold. My favorite styles to brew are lagers. We have a big weekend this weekend, July 25, 26. On Friday Mike Pederson will be playing from 5-7. Tangled Roots succulent nursery will be here selling succulents 4-7.
Saturday is the Old Soul, Art and Soul market. which will feature local crafts, live music and a food truck. The market starts at 1pm.
