PACE SPRING SEMESTER will be starting soon at the Placitas Community Library! Here are the fun and exciting courses being offered:

THE ASTRONOMICAL PERSPECTIVE - Introduction to the cosmos from the former Press Officer of the American Astronomical Society, Thursday afternoons, February 19th, March 5th, and March 19th.

GOOD CONVERSATION - Entertaining conversation about non-political topics chosen by you, Wednesday afternoons, March 4th-25th.

HISTORY OF UFOs - History of UFO incidents from 1941-1967, from the Chief Archivist and Historian at the National UFO Historical Records Center, Tuesday afternoons, March 17th-31st.

PLANTING FOR A CHANGING CLIMATE - It's spring and time for a gardening class focused on our changing and challenging climate, from a Sandoval County Master Gardener, Tuesday mornings, March 17th - April 7th (April 7th is a field trip to the Santa Ana Native Nursery).

We're offering 5 courses this spring at the Placitas Community Library:

𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗡𝗼𝗻-𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗲𝘄𝘀 - Discuss current topics of interest in science, tech, music, art and anything else outside of politics you care to chat about. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 12𝘁𝗵.

𝗛𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵: 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵, 𝗔𝗶𝗿, 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 - A geologist and a planetary scientist team up to explore ancient rocks, windswept deserts, erupting volcanoes, and grinding ice from New Mexico to the farthest planets. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 13𝘁𝗵.

𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝘂𝗲𝗯𝗹𝗼 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲: 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 - Three Pueblo artists who profoundly influenced the lives of Pueblo and non-Pueblo people. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 18𝘁𝗵.

𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 - Learn how to keep your landscape alive and thriving from Sandoval Extension Master Gardeners! 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 20𝘁𝗵.

𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗶𝗿 𝗪𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 - Whether you are thinking of writing the story of your life, or humming along and wanting to meet with others who are also wanting to tell their story, special exercises will help you remember events you haven’t thought about in years. Feedback from a widely published author will be provided for those who want it. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 18𝘁𝗵.
