ABOUT STEREO

Stereo Brewing was born after a long night of listening to great vinyl and drinking great beer. Rick Smets, now Owner / Brewer wanted a way to mix his love for music with his lifelong passion for brewing. Rick has been a professional brewer for over 12 years, notably serving as the Head Brewer of Left Coast until 2009, when he became a brewer for Firestone Walker. Stereo will be his

first solo project. When describing Stereo, Rick tends to mention bands that would never play a stage together –Grateful Dead meets Dead Kennedys meets Duke Ellington. His eclectic music tastes carry over into Stereo’s beer styles. Some high notes include Hazy Jane II, a refreshing ginger beer, Blonde on Blonde Kolsch (named after the great Bob Dylan album) and Perfect Day IPA - a citrusy piney nod to Lou Reed. It addition to the brewing facility, Stereo has a 1,000 sq.ft. on-site tap room open Wednesday through Sunday. The tap room serves tasting flights, pints and fresh beer to-go in Crowlers®. Stereo is proud to open in Placentia and we look forward to becoming a gathering place for the local community.

Looks like A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall… which can only mean one thing: STOUT WEATHER. 🌧️

Good thing our award-winning Wall of Sound Oatmeal Stout is on tap and ready to warm you up. Pitch black and full-bodied, this stout brings comforting notes of roasted malt, cacao, and coffee. At only 5.6% ABV with a dry finish, it’s pleasantly drinkable.

Who you gonna call? Our Ecto Cooler Seltzer (6%) has big, nostalgic tangerine & orange flavors with its signature Slimer-green color. Lots of R&D went into making this a proton blast from the past. Ghost trap it in the taproom this weekend only.

TONIGHT: We’re celebrating the release of our pals Double Wish’s new album with a listening party, guest DJs, pop-up, pizza, and of course, new beer!

Double Wish Kolsch is a super-light 5% ABV beer made with fresh watermelon juice and high-quality sea salt. It’s incredibly crisp, clean, and refreshing, letting the bready Kölsch character shine through with refreshing fruit and subtle salinity. The perfect easy-drinking beer for lingering summer days.
