Spring is the best time to try your hand at making your own butter. The creamy grass-fed milk has an extra-rich yellow color which makes beautiful, nutrient-rich butter 😍
🧈How: run to the sugarhouse and grab some raw grass-fed milk. Skim the cream off the top (use the skimmed milk for drinking or in baking) and put the cream into a stand mixer. With the whisk attachment whisk the cream until the butter separates from the buttermilk (*recommend putting a towel over the mixer for this step). Strain the butter from the buttermilk, then run the butter under water until the water is clear. Enjoy!
