The Church Brew Works lost a great friend and co-worker with the passing over the weekend of Cynthia McKenna. We will miss Cindy's wit, storytelling, vibrancy and her never ending enthusiasm for her family and friends. Cindy shared 16 years of her life helping our brewpub as our accountant, friend and colleague. Cindy had an incredible intelligence and loyalty that will be forever missed. We had so many five minute discussions on a work topic that invariable meandered into 30 minute conversations of everything under the sun, along the lakes and rivers. Through Cindy, we became friends with Big "W", Matt, Zach and Lauren, nephew Jack and mom Anna.
I hope we can meet again, some time, some place, somewhere in the future and say hello again versus goodbye...
The Church Brew Works family hopes you can support the McKenna family this Friday Oct 16th for a viewing at Freyvogels at 4900 center avenue from 4-7 followed after wards by a Celebration of Life at The Church Brew Works.

We had the front doors open while we were closed thursday at lunch; when Bill Kubit popped in and said hello.
Bill grew up a few blocks away and was the paperboy for St John The Baptist Church over 40 Years ago. It was great to see someone with a legacy connection to the historic Church Brew Works during our 30th anniversary Octoberfest!!
