Pittsburgh’s Old Stone Tavern Friends invite you to their annual meeting on Saturday, September 20, at 1 PM. The annual meeting will be held at the Community Living Center, at 80 Wabash Street 15220

University of Massachusetts graduate and historian and author Jason Cherry will be the speaker and will present as the soldier, trader and frontiersman William Trent. He has written two books on William Trent, Pittsburgh’s Lost Outpost: Captain Trent’s Fort in 2019 and William Trent: Factor of Ambition in 2024. Captain William Trent and company were famously in the process of building Fort Prince George at the Forks of the Ohio on behalf of the English when the French overtook in 1754 and built Fort Duquesne in its place marking the start of the French and Indian War that set off British financial troubles spawning The American Revolution. Sunbury Press, which published Pittsburgh’s Lost Outpost, wrote “Jason Cherry, historian with a passion for history and research”.

The Porter Family & Pittsburgh's Old Stone Tavern Trust, Inc, are raising funds by teaming up with local dj's and food vendors to bring a day of fun and dancing to the West End. Taking place in the outdoor area adjacent to the Old Stone Tavern, they'll have a full bar (21 & over), dunk tank, two food trucks, and booths with information about the tavern and their vision for helping to revitalize the West End.  Festivities start Saturday, July 5th at 3pm and go until 11pm. Admission is $25 per head, cash or card at the door. Neighbors with an ID showing a 15220 zip code and kids 10yo and under get in free (donation suggested). There will be additional ways to donate on site. Help us reach our goal of raising $12,500 to remove the old coatings from, and to help stabilize the Tavern's facade! All donations and a portion of proceeds from ticket and bar sales go directly to the Tavern. Scan the QR code on the flyer, or go to OldStoneTavern.com to Donate and Learn More.
