Hey fam- it’s with a heavy heart but extreme optimism for what comes next that I announce that we will not be renewing our lease and closing our doors in the coming weeks. We’ve had a lot of great moments with you over the last 6 plus years and we’ll never forget the celebrations, milestones, and other life events you chose to spend with us.
After the unexpected passing of my father this past year, I’ve spent the last several months reevaluating the time, energy, and schedule that being the chef/owner of an independent restaurant requires. Although my passion for the business still runs deep, my commitment and desire to live the chef life has waned. With my children in high school and middle school, I’m looking forward to focusing on my family and living more of the dad life for this next chapter.
That being said, I’m sure I’ll still be popping up here and there to do a few dinners and cameos because I’ll always have a deep down love for hospitality and feeding folks.
We still have a little time before the fire goes out for good and we hope to see as many of you as possible for a few more yums. We will be changing up our hours a bit for this stretch run and splashing in a few wine dinners and other events as well. Thanks to all of my staff past and present for making Bonfire such a special place. Thanks to our guests for giving us the opportunity to do what we love, filling bellies and warming hearts. Thanks to the Southside community for welcoming and supporting us over the years, yinz are the best. And lastly, thanks to my family and friends for always inspiring me to pursue my dreams and continue to do what has fulfilled me for so long 🔥❤️
Our last regular dinner service will be on February 15th, our last brunch service will be this Sunday, February 2nd.
Cheers,
💙 Chef Chris
