We are deeply saddened by the passing of our beloved co-founder, Ed Graf, on September 22. His warmth, generosity, and genuine care for others touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. We will forever be grateful for the legacy of gracious hospitality and community spirit that he and his wife, Mary Ann, built together. Their example continues to inspire all we do. Our heartfelt thanks to Kevin Kirkland and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette for honoring Ed’s life with such a thoughtful and beautiful story.

Welcome to the ultimate Mini-Bar. The Monks’ Bar, which debuted in February 2011, is, with 14 seats, the smallest bar in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. But small does not mean less than mighty, as the Monks’ Bar boasts a vast collection of top-shelf liquors, an excellent wine list, and an ever-changing list of microbrews. Topping things off is a menu of hard-to-find classic cocktails, hearkening back to a more genteel era where one savored the subtle blend of liquors whose sum of parts was greater than the whole. Try our signature Monktini!

The Monks’ Bar is open 7 days a week from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and is open to the public.
