So we heard that yinz guys have been talkin about us…
Our secret is out. After 32 years of ownership, we’re looking forward to retirement. This decision was not quick or easy to make. Let us first and foremost say that we are not closed, the name will not be changing, the sign isn’t going anywhere and our team is staying on.
Trying to put into words what the Modern Cafe means isn’t easy. It has been the neighborhood Cheers since 1933 and that’s something we do not want to change. The Modern has been where you brought your good {and not so good} dates, the place where you’ve had parties at, where your crew pregamed for concerts and football games at. Where you came after a bad day to find your favorite drink and comfort food ready to go. When you needed to get out of the office to actually get work done…you know who you are 😉. All of you have helped us make it what it is today. You have left your mark on us.
In 32 years, we have taken the Modern so far and now we look forward to passing the baton on and seeing it continue to grow! We thank you for all of your love and support over the years. You made it worth it. This process isn’t final. We aren’t closed for good. We will be back open from vacation this Monday, Sept 8th and we look forward to seeing all of you! Cheers!
