🏳️‍⚧️ Celebrating Trans Men on Trans Day of Visibility! 💙

On Trans Day of Visibility (March 31), we honor and uplift trans men and transmasculine people who have been essential in the fight for LGBTQ+ rights. Their contributions, resilience, and courage have shaped history—and continue to shape our future.

🔹 Lou Sullivan – A pioneering advocate who founded FTM International, the first organization dedicated to trans men, and fought for visibility in medical and social spaces.

🔹 Kylar Broadus – A legal powerhouse who founded the Trans People of Color Coalition and was the first openly trans person to testify before the U.S. Senate.

🔹 Billy Tipton – A trailblazing jazz musician who lived as his authentic self despite societal barriers, proving that trans men have always existed and thrived.

Trans men are leaders, activists, creators, and community builders. They belong in the LGBTQ+ movement, and their visibility is vital in the ongoing fight for equality.

🌟 Today and every day, we see you. We celebrate you. We stand with you. 🌟

🏳️‍⚧️ Trans Day of Visibility: Honoring Our History, Protecting Our Future 🏳️‍⚧️

As we celebrate Trans Day of Visibility, let’s take a moment to remember that none of us in the LGBTQ+ community would have the rights we do today without the bravery of trans women at Stonewall.

It was trans women of color like Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera who stood on the front lines, fighting back against police brutality and discrimination. Their courage ignited a movement—one that still continues today.

Visibility isn’t just about being seen; it’s about honoring our past, uplifting trans voices, and ensuring a future where all trans people can live freely and safely. As attacks on trans rights escalate, it’s more important than ever to show up, speak out, and stand in solidarity.

To our trans siblings: We see you. We stand with you. We fight for you. Always.

🌸 Celebrating LGBTQ+ Women on International Women’s Day 🌸

On March 8th, we honor the women who have fought tirelessly for equality—not just for themselves, but for all of us. Their leadership, advocacy, and resilience have shaped the progress we see today.

📚 Barbara Gittings – A Philadelphia-based le***an activist, organizer of the Annual Reminder protests, and a key figure in declassifying homosexuality as a mental disorder.

🌟 Gloria Casarez – A Latina le***an activist and Philadelphia’s first Director of LGBT Affairs, who championed housing, healthcare, and anti-discrimination protections for LGBTQ+ people.

📢 Miss Major Griffin-Gracy – A lifelong advocate for incarcerated trans women and marginalized LGBTQ+ communities, ensuring their voices are heard.

🎤 Leslie Feinberg – Author of Stone Butch Blues and a groundbreaking voice in le***an and transgender activism.

⚖️ Urvashi Vaid – Pioneering activist and leader who worked fighting for legal rights, racial justice, and intersectional advocacy for decades.

💜 Stormé DeLarverie – A butch le***an and drag king often credited with throwing the first punch at Stonewall, ensuring that LGBTQ+ people were not erased from history.

🏳️‍🌈 Sip City South Jersey – Today, we also celebrate the incredible women of Sip City South Jersey, who work tirelessly to create safe spaces and community events for q***r and non-binary women in South Jersey. Their dedication ensures that women remain visible, included, and celebrated in LGBTQ+ spaces.

Today and every day, we recognize the power of women in our community. There are countless other women and we thank you all for your leadership, strength & fight.
