We wanted to share this event at Carsonville this weekend in honor of Taryn Morgan. If you have never been to Carsonville it is a lot like Jack's, a rural restaurant/bar supported by local regulars and out of towners looking for a unique experience with delicious food.

Our paths have intertwined with Taryn's in so many ways over the years and it still feels unreal that they won't ever again. Taryn went to high school with Nick at UDA, she and Melissa taught Science together at a cyber school for a number of years, our kids wrestled together at UDA and finally we were constantly sharing small business restaurant issues/frustrations/ideas that helped us weather COVID and all the challenges that have faced the industry since then. You could not find a harder working, more focused and passionate mom/teacher/farmer/business owner/dessert maker/problem solver than Taryn. You also could not find a more loving and dedicated sister/daughter/aunt, and we have been thinking about her and the family and the UDA community every day since. So many prayers and so much love to her family, students and friends. 💕

Saturday June 27th is all about Taryn.

Join us at the Carsonville Hotel after her celebration of life.

Chips and salsa.

All of the proceeds we make from the tacos, quesadillas and chips and salsa will go directly to the kids trust. Sysco has generously donated all of the items to make it happen.

T&S Flowers and Produce has generously donated to us some potted plants that we plan on handing out. You can either take them home or you can choose to leave it at the hotel for us to plant.

We sold out of Honey Dipped Chicken, Porterhouses and Crab-Stuffed Flounder last night so Nick updated the menu and we wanted to share with you. Hope everyone is out enjoying the beautiful weather today-stop by Jack's to make your day complete! (Our kitchen is open until 9.)

Hegins Valley Brewing is here! Come on up to get your sample and purchase your cans!

If you signed up for the lunch, we will be starting at 1 o’clock in the pavilion. Don’t forget to bring your utensils, plates, napkins, and drinks.

Kids crafts will start at 3 o’clock, all Jacuzzis have been spoken for, but if you haven’t signed up, please join us. We have other Father’s Day crafts.

Bingo will start at 7, $2 dollars per card all ages welcome!

We sold out of porterhouses last night so we are switching to 16 oz T-Bones tonight. Keep it local by enjoying yours with fresh cut fries to drag through the juices and a frosty mug of Hegins Valley Brewing Draft. Treat dad a day early (we are CLOSED tomorrow, Sunday, 6/21 so Nick can have a break).

Hoping for good weather this weekend so everyone can enjoy all our small community has to offer. A reminder we will be CLOSED Sunday, 6/21 for Father's Day. Nick gets a break.

And don't forget that stopping in at Jack's gives you a chance to support local farms and producers like Masser’s Produce, Zimmerman Farms, Lesher Ag and Hegins Valley Brewing. Make sure you head over to Kenny Stehr AndSons Farm for their annual Strawberry Festival tomorrow, you don't want to miss all the berry goodness and the fun! And you will never regret checking out the local wineries, Red Shale Ridge Vineyards and Benigna's Creek Vineyard and Winery, award winning wines and views (or at least there should be an award for how lovely both locations are 💕).
