Solid Rock in the Park โ June 28th Recap ๐
What a blessed day! Even with rain in the forecast, we made the call to move to our rain site at the fairgrounds โ and weโre so glad we did. We had an incredible turnout with around 300+ people coming together for worship, fellowship, and fun. We gave out over 250 prize drawing tickets, and roughly 20-30% of folks even passed on taking one!
The temperature was perfect, there were no bugs, and despite the early threat of wind and thunderstorms, the weather cleared up beautifully. It truly felt like Godโs hand was over the whole day.
A Few Highlights:
- Our amazing volunteers showed up early. A handful of us gathered at the fairgrounds to pray together before the weather worsened โ praying for smooth setup, traveling performers, and Godโs blessing on the day.
- The Holy Smokes food truck arrived and set up right on time, even after an early-morning call about a generator issue. They were able to get the power they needed and everything ran smoothly!
- We got started shortly after noon and stayed on track despite the rain delay.
- All of our talented bands and artists brought the joy: 2 Timothy, Mike Ball & Blood Like Wine Band, Mike & The Vibes, Tru-Serva, Presence Music, and Jonathan Traylor. The music was uplifting and the atmosphere was full of praise!
- We were able to select prize winners out for an amazing number of prizes, mostly from local businesses.
- Our volunteers were an absolute delight โ I tried to grab selfies with everyone (didnโt quite succeed, but I tried!).
- The guests were wonderful. There was such a sweet, loving spirit present all day.
- We wrapped up at the fairgrounds around 8:30pm. A handful of dedicated volunteers helped load everything up and even helped unload at my place afterward.
- We finished the night with a small after-party โ the perfect way to end a Spirit-filled day.
Huge thank you to every volunteer, performer, food vendor, and attendee who made Solid Rock in the Park 2026 so special. We couldnโt do it without you!
