Hey Blues Fans, after 12 years and over $100,000 donated to local charities we are taking a break in 2025!

However, we do plan to organize a "BluesDay" in downtown Phoenixville with the partnership of the Colonial Theater. Likely to happen next February. Keep checking back for updates on bands, venues, and special events!

Thats a wrap blues fans on the 2024 Blues Festival!! The Steel City Blues Society is proud of our 12-year run and will soon distribute about $8,800 in donations to local charities.

I am reposting our post from earlier this year. After 12 fun (and exhausting) years we are looking for a fresh start with a new sponsor and team to run the festival. Please send any questions/info to [email protected]. We have a lot of history and know-how we can share with a new team.

We hope this message finds you well and filled with the joy that music brings to our lives. We are actively planning for the 12th Annual Phoenixville Blues Festival on 9/7/2024, however this will be the final year for The Steel City Blues Society to host this great event.

After 12 incredible years of bringing the blues to our community, the time has come for a new chapter in the journey of The Phoenixville Blues Festival. We are seeking passionate individuals or organizations who are interested in taking the reins and continuing the legacy of our beloved blues festival.

The Blues Festival has been a labor of love, and thanks to the generous support of our community, we've been able to create unforgettable musical experiences while raising $100,000 for local charities. However, as we look towards the future, we believe it's time for fresh perspectives and new energy to carry the torch forward.

To ensure a smooth transition, we are offering an exciting opportunity for interested parties to work alongside our current team during the 2024 festival planning. This will provide invaluable insights, hands-on experience, and a chance to preserve the festival's positive impact on our community.

We welcome individuals, groups, or organizations who share our passion for the blues, community engagement, and making a positive impact. Whether you have experience in event management, fundraising, or simply a love for music, your enthusiasm and commitment are what matter most.

The heart of our festival lies in its ability to bring people together, celebrate the blues, and give back to the community. By taking ownership, you could make a lasting impact, continue our tradition of supporting local charities, and ensure that the blues continue to resonate in our community for years to come.

Great Blues Festivals start with great music and we certainly checked that box on Saturday! Even a little rain couldn't slow the talent and crowds! We want to thank our bands, volunteers, vendors and fans!
