We (I?) had such great lineups and hilarious comedians in the shows. 50 in all there I hosted/produced. Local favs Boomer & Keith are backing up L.A. pro Eric Schwartz here.
I had BOTH of them in ONE of my shows in 2010.
I opened with Boomer and ended with "Keef." In between I couldn't tell ya who else. It's probably still on the internet. I just know I was happy.
I remember two things: asking Boomer if he was ok to drive home (because headliners got all the booze they wanted. Part of my contract with owner Jim Wall.) As Boomer drove away he jumped the curb - twice!
The other indicated that I must have been ok as a comedian when you get unsolicited advice from pros because they want to see you do well.
Keith Ellis said slow down a bit to let a (certain) joke set in and the audience will laugh again. Hm! Cool.
Eric Schwartz is announcing his upcoming show at The Tempe Improv. I was an undercard (way under) with Eric at Howard Hughes' old Westside Stand Up Sangria x
- a precursor to his Stand Up, Scottsdale Comedy Club circa 2010.

People still think I do stand up comedy 5 yrs later. They don't realize the promoting & advertising involved. They would have seen at least one event invite or post about a show from me within that time.

I had comedians say this was like Bullock's comedy show. Yeah, if you sucked, they will let ya know it. Rarely happened luckily. I had great talent in my shows there.
