Started with a FULL plate of creamy Shrimp Alfredo paired with The Optimist Sauvignon Blanc and ended with an empty plate, an unexpected *BURP* 😂 and TWO thumbs up! 👍🏾👍🏾

Listen… The empty plate told the whole story. 😂

The creamy, rich Alfredo + juicy shrimp met that crisp, refreshing Sauvignon Blanc and babyyyy… the plate AND the pour made sense!🥂

Baby, this plate was giving comfort food with a wine upgrade! 😮‍💨🍽️

Tonight’s menu: Spinach Dip Pasta with a crispy chicken filet, inspired by Kimberly Villalobos . Creamy, cheesy, savory goodness paired with a chilled glass of Cooper's Hawk | Restaurant & Tasting Room Blanc de Noir. 🥂

The Blanc de Noir brought bright fruit, refreshing acidity, and just enough sweetness to balance all that creamy richness and crispy chicken. The plate and the pour definitely made sense! 🙌🏾🍷

🍷✨ SEDONA WINE TRIP RECAP: THE VIBES WERE VIBING!✨🍷

What a DAY! 🥂😂 Our Sedona wine trip was filled with wine, nonstop laughs, good food, great music, and even better company!

We sipped our way through three wineries — Creek Vineyards & Winery, Javelina Leap and Cove Mesa Vineyard — tasting, learning, and enjoying beautiful Arizona wine country. 🍇🍷

And the bus ride?! 😂 R&B Bingo had us singing like we were on tour, competing for prizes and proving we know EVERY song… even when we don’t know all the lyrics! 🎶🤣

We shopped, ate some GOOD food, took plenty of pictures, celebrated, laughed until our stomachs hurt, and made some amazing memories.

🖤 A HUGE thank you to The BLK Net for showing up and showing OUT in full force! Y’all brought the energy, the laughter, the sisterhood, and the vibes from the moment we got on the bus until we made it back home. Seeing so many beautiful Black women come together to relax, connect, sip some wine, and simply enjoy LIFE was everything! 🥂

And thank you for trusting me, The Wine Lady 🍷 and Corks & Crystal to keep the glasses full and the vibes right!

🍷✨ WE GOT WINE: DINNER AT HOME — EPISODE 13! ✨🍽️

Tonight’s plate was giving Cajun comfort with a crisp little pour on the side! 😋

🔥 Cajun-seasoned salmon
🥔 Creamy garlic mashed potatoes
🥒 Sautéed zucchini
🥂 Paired with Chateau Ste. Michelle Dry Riesling

And baby… the plate and the pour MADE SENSE. 🙌🏾

The Riesling’s bright acidity and citrusy, stone-fruit notes cut through the richness of those garlic mashed potatoes, while that little touch of fruit played perfectly with the Cajun spice on the salmon. Crisp, refreshing, and just enough to cool things down between bites. 🌶️🥂

Episode 12 of We Got Wine: Dinner at Home🍷🍽️

This week, we’re bringing a little spice to the kitchen! I made Pepper Chicken from Daven Gates aka OneStopChop over Basmati Rice and paired it with Fetzer Gewürztraminer and baby, the plate and the pour were MAKING SENSE! 🙌🏾

🌶️ The pepper chicken brought the spice, savory flavors and a little heat, while the Gewürztraminer came through with those floral, fruity notes and a touch of sweetness to balance it all out. This is exactly why I love pairing slightly off-dry, aromatic wines with spicy food. 😋🥂
