After decades of serving the Phoenix community with heartfelt hospitality and award-winning Italian cuisine, Giuseppe’s On 28th will close its doors permanently on March 22, 2026, as longtime owner Richard Bock announces his retirement.
A cherished neighborhood institution, Giuseppe’s On 28th has been the backdrop for countless celebrations, anniversaries, family dinners, and milestone moments. Under Richard Bock’s leadership, the restaurant earned not only the loyalty of generations of guests, but also widespread recognition for its excellence.
Giuseppe’s On 28th was proudly featured twice on Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives with Guy Fieri — a testament to the restaurant’s standout flavors and enduring appeal. Over the years, it also received multiple awards for outstanding service and dining experience from Phoenix New Times, Phoenix Magazine, and OpenTable.
“This restaurant has been one of the greatest honors of my life,” said Richard Bock. “To be embraced by this community — and recognized on a national level — is something I will always treasure. I’m deeply grateful to our guests, our staff, and everyone who has walked through our doors.”
Guests are invited to dine in, order takeout, or enjoy delivery through their favorite delivery apps before the final day of service. Whether you’re craving a longtime favorite pasta dish, a signature entrée featured on national television, or a classic dessert shared over years of celebrations, now is the time to return.
The restaurant anticipates high demand in its final weeks and encourages guests to make reservations early.
