Ronen Givony is the founder of Wordless Music, an orchestra and concert series that has worked with artists across genres, from Sigur Rós and Mica Levi to Terrence Malick and Paul Thomas Anderson. A curator for music festivals and venues in the United States and abroad, he is the author of two other books: 24 Hour Revenge Therapy (or, The Strange Death of Selling Out) and Not for You: Pearl Jam and the Present Tense. Born and raised in South Florida, he now lives in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn.

📣 JUNE @ Tuesday Nite Music Club! 📣

We are so excited to share with you! Philly’s own will be our resident artist for June, along with a whole grip of great new and classic records for Tuesday night listening sessions. Do join us!

About Yesseh: Born and raised in the Philadelphia area, Yesseh Ali is a freelance saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist. Playing since the age of nine, Furaha-Ali has been under the tutelage of esteemed mentors at notable institutions such as the Philadelphia Clef Club of Jazz and Performing Arts, The Kimmel Center, Settlement Music and Berklee College of Music. Recently noted, Ali is currently on tour with Jonas Brothers, in which he performed the “Greetings From Your Hometown” ‘25 North American Tour, as well as wrapping up the ‘26 South America Spring Tour. While not on the road, Ali continues to perform regularly in the Philadelphia area, as he continues aspirations to travel the world sharing his gift of music.

Join us for this celebration of the 112th year of Sun Ra’s arrival on our planet. John Pettit will be selecting Sun Ra and Sun Ra affiliated music (Other Arkestra members, Sun Ra influences, covers, etc.), and poet Ursula Rucker will be doing a reading. Silent, archival footage of Sun Ra and the Arkestra will be projected on loop throughout the evening as well.
