Philadelphia, PA – August 2015 – The Forth annual Liberty Music Fest (LMF) returns to Philadelphia on August 20th to August 23rd. Organizers, DVT Entertainment and That Mag announced this year’s event will take place at Bull Shooters Saloon in Northeast philly - with tons of free parking. Indoor and outdoor stages will be utilized to present the biggest independent music festival yet in the Phila

Liberty Music Fest is expected to have more than 100 different performers this year. All genres of music will be represented including Rock, Pop, Hip Hop, EDM, Punk, Indie, and more. Artists had to submit online to be considered for a performance slot. The schedule has been announced for the event and features acts such as bands like The Blackfires (NY) who recent played with Aerosmith in Russia, EDM breakout artist MiTiS, bluegrass funk of The Currys from Florida, also Giffords Lane a grade school age band that has been featured of WMMR’s Preston & Steve’s several time and much more. LMF has partnered up with three underground promoters in Philadelphia to bring together a unity among the scene with Broad Street Music Group, Gashouse Radio, Official Philly: Hip Hop & RnB Showcase and Phreedom Events bringing an EDM electricity to festival. In addition to the performances, Liberty Music Fest will also feature VIP Parties, vendor tables, music industry panels, workshops and mentoring sessions. Some of the topics to be included are Hear the real Road Story w/ The Tour Managers, Social Media: Tactics to gain more exposure, Producers, Publishing & Licensing your music, Booking Agents/Talent buyers: booking correctly opening more opportunities, The Art of Remixing your music for EDM, Dance clubs and more, Beats vs. the Rhymes: Beat Makers and Area MCs will demonstrate composing songs, and the final panel “The State of the Philadelphia Music Scene” a no holds barred discussion about what real is happening from an artist’s and industry perspectives. Liberty Music Fest is the brain child of Jim Thorpe, Brian Cronin, and Vince Volz. All three have been instrumental in the music scene for years. Together they created the festival to celebrate, educate, and showcase musical talent from out the region. Each day costs: $10,

What's up all, hope everyone is doing great if these times! DVT Entertainment is planning on a Sept 2022 Liberty Musicfest this year at Broken Goblet Brewing. it would be our 10yr Anniversary , so we need to go Big!!!!! So Stay Tuned!!!!

In the meantime we looking for artists to perform feb/apr/may etc at these two legendary venues.

Starting tomorrow in Lancaster, PA. the LAUNCH Music Conference kicks off!!! This is the best conference for artists looking to help reach goals, network with other artists and industry professionals.

Jim Thorpe will be representing DVT Entertainment on Saturday, Sept 11th. Starting at 9am I will be doing mentoring sessions, at 3pm I will be on a panel "These are the Droids You are Looking For" with fellow booking/touring colleagues. I will also be checking out performances all day and night!!!!

Hope Everyone is doing great and getting back into swing of things along with staying health. It was tough for DVT Entertainment this year especially along with other performers, venues, industry workers and professionals.

This year would be the 10th Anniversary for The Liberty Musicfest. We ( Vince Volz / Jim Thorpe ) have decided to move it to 2022 so we can do it justice and multi-day event with performances, music educational sessions, networking, vendors and more...

So this year we still wanted to keep LMF alive so we decided to a scaled down one day event call " The Mini Jawn Liberty Musicfest" at Broken Goblet Brewing potentially on Saturday November 13th 2021. Please do not contact us about performing for this, we are still in the planning phase!!!

Our Story

The Liberty Musicfest (LMF) started in 2011 based around the concept of original music showcases, educational music business panels, vendors, networking and workshops. The brain child of Music Industry Veterans Jim Thorpe &Vince Volz who have all been instrumental in the music scene for years along with Unclaimed Bands and SSA Music who supported us from the beginning.

This year’s festival is the largest yet and has been organized by DVT Entertainment and That Mag. Bringing together musicians, fans and industry professionals for one incredible weekend filled with entertaining & informative events. The festival seeks to introduce music enthusiasts to up-and-coming local, on the cusp regional and national artists as well as provide tips and tricks to attendees on industry topics such as publishing, touring, and social media. Some of this weekend’s most anticipated industry panels to catch are Booking/Touring, Building Your Brand, Producers: Creating your song, Publishing & Licensing: get your Music In A Movie, Game or Commercial, and Social Media: Navigating and Optimizing Your Presence and many one on one sessions with music industry professionals and artists.

This year, The 7th Annual Liberty Musicfest will take place Aug 23th thru 26th and we are blowing it up more then ever before!! We are hosting it at The Grape Room (Grape St Pub) and Broken Goblet brewery in Bensalem. We are going to shut down Grape St. on Sat and Sun. with an outdoor stage. From 12pm till 8pm the LMF will be free to all!!!! Yes Free!!! Manayunk has tremendous street traffic and we want to increase the artists visibility to a wider audience! The street will be lined with vendors, sponsor tables, food trucks along with pro stage and sound.
