Since first opening, we have established our mission to be the neighborhood go-to for Comfort food. Our hand cut fries offer both that crunch when you first bite into them as well as the taste of real potatoes, (because they are!) Here at the Barrel House, we aim to offer local and seasonal selections to Philly while enticing bold flavors to rejuvenate the comfort food we desire. Our wings for example are offered in the traditional Buffalo hot sauce, grilled honey BBQ, chipotle bourbon & a thai basil chili sauce. In terms of fresh ingredients, our always fresh, never frozen calamari stands out amongst competitors making it one of our best appetizers. We also aim to please our Vegetarian patrons with our made from scratch Veggie Burger.

Just to let ever know we have made the unfortunate decision to close the restaurant indefinitely. It has been a struggle for us since opening back up after Covid. We have tried to make it work but it simply wasn’t happening. We feel like we have failed our employees. To all of the guests that we have become friends with over the years we say “thank you” your support has been truly humbling. To all the employees we have had over the years we owe you a debt of gratitude for all your hard work that you’ve done for the Barrel House. We would like to say we will be back but we don’t know what the future holds. We don’t see a way back during this pandemic for us. Some places are doing good, some really well. We where not that fortunate, we tried our best but came up short. We have failed. Covid-19 has claimed another victim. We wish all of you well and stay safe. We hope to see you all again.

Hey guys we are borrowing an idea from and going to offer up a free family meal and a beer (to those of age) to those in need. We will be there starting at 4pm though at least 6pm. BYOC- bring your own container.
We feel it’s the least we can do to help during this time. We will do this as often as we can until we run out. We know this is not an original idea, we just don’t know how else to helps
