How to build a dream team (from people who are genuinely obsessed with ours) 💛🍻 We’re really proud of the culture we’ve built at Love City, and it didn’t happen by accident. Here’s what’s worked for us:
💸 Pay people fairly. Look up the living wage in your area and make that the floor for your lowest-paid position. Not the goal. The floor.
📱 Listen to your people. Give them your phone number and actually mean it when you say “reach out anytime.”
🩺 Give the benefits you can. No, we can’t hand everyone a company car, but we can offer free telehealth. Start with what’s possible and build from there.
🎉 Celebrate together. Staff outings matter. Everyone deserves a night off where someone else is pouring the drinks.
Treat your people well. They’ll treat your customers well. Everybody wins. ❤️

Affordable luxuries, let’s talk about them. 🍂🍺 A good chat with your bartender. Getting out of the house on a crisp fall night. A dinner you didn’t have to cook, with maybe enough left for tomorrow’s lunch. Real talk: things aren’t easy for most of us right now. The start of basketball season, the debut of a highly-anticipated new starting five, the 🐐 in a Sixers uniform…we knew we had to do something special for the first game of the season!
Thing is, Tuesdays are already pretty special at Love City. So we decided to roll with our usual routine, but make some room for basketball! Swing by the taproom on 10/20 for a very special 76ers-themed Drink & Draw hosted by Eamon Dougherty. As always, we’ll have b**r specials & prizes for the fan-favorite drawings! We’ll also have our projector screen down and the sound on to watch the new-look Sixers go head-to-head with the reigning champs at MSG. 1…2…3, 4, 5 🎶🏀🍻

We asked our brewers which b**r “rules” you can stop stressing about. Turns out, it’s a few of them. 🍺 Swipe for three things the pros say are totally fine.

Myth: once it’s cold, it has to stay cold.
Nope! Lots of extreme temperature swings are bad for b**r, but buying a cold 6 pack, driving it home, and putting it back in the fridge isn’t going to hurt it.

Myth: a month in the basement ruined your cans.
They’re fine. Fresh b**r is always better, but most b**r holds up to hanging out at room temp for a bit.

Myth: real b**r people always use a glass.
Our brewers drink straight from the can all the time! The flavor’s the same. A glass gets you a little more aroma, plus you get to look at the pretty color. 😍
