Nicole loves making new friends at McGillin's & giving them signature candy bracelets - all year long, especially out-of-towners. The guys on the left came from Quebec to attend 3 Philly sporting events (lucky!) and managed to squeeze in a visit to McGillin's too.

There's always something to fix at 1310 Drury Street -- the wooden tables and chairs, the HVAC, the sound system, the wifi, and the list goes on. This time it's restoration of a 125-year-old door. This old building has old bones! But we're committed to keeping it in ship shape for another 166 years to come! 🛠

Then. Now.

From 1860 until 1910, the bar was called Bell in Hand. Then on the bar's 50th anniversary, Ma McGillin made the bar's name McGillin's, officially, since that's what everyone called it anyway.

The original bell in hand can be seen in the historic photo between the two arched doorways. Today it hangs on the wall behind the 1st floor bar.
