Ecstatic to be doing this mash-up & flattered the renowned invited me. Fiume is resurrected for 5 nights just off Thurs Aug 4 - Mon Aug 8th. 10 classic Fiume , sexy Pours of , , & to sip, and I get to serve them myself. let .e.m.__ off the leash for a special menu of elevated fun food. No res needed, walk-in only, special hours 7pm-2am make it a 5-day weekend.

Hey folks, sorry to say Fiume is officially permanently closed. I was actually in the midst of discussing the reopen with Abyssinia and all the pre-pandemic staff, and out of the blue I got an email from a few former staff uncovering that they had been talking with Abyssinia, and they were going to open a new bar in the space without me. The crazy thing is my plan was to diminish my involvement and elevate theirs, most likely transitioning toward my eventual departure.

I don’t understand their move, and honestly it hurts. I’m just going to focus on what’s next for me, which includes my music and also the private pop-ups I started doing. (They’re sort of a nano Fiume-on-wheels.)

So I’ve marked Fiume as permanently closed on my google, yelp, and facebook accounts. But there will be a new bar in the old space. I assume they'll be rebranding and starting new social media and whatever else. Buona fortuna. And I’ll be keeping all my same contact if you want Fiume at your wedding, work party, funeral, bat/bar mitzvah, divorce celebration, etc.

It’s been one hell of a hoot serving you the past 2 decades, and I’m honored to have captained such a rare and beautiful ship on its charmed voyage. The bar has been graced by some of the most golden-hearted customers, beautifully talented staff, and thrillingly gifted musicians I could have hoped for. I am grateful for this mammoth chapter of my life. It has enriched me eternally and I’m saddened by the loss.

Sent staff home early last night. We'll let you know when we reopen. Downstairs is serving to go only (food & beer) starting tomorrow. We are just plain closed and I feel very confident about that decision. Everyone, please stay home If/when you really need to go out, be safe!
