We have deliberately taken some time to formulate a response to the news that the owners of Wicked W**d have decided to sell their business to AB InBev.

While Walt and the other shareholders at Wicked W**d had every right to sell their company, we at WBC continue to have serious issues with many of AB-InBev’s business strategies, mission, and overall marketplace ethics regarding craft beer in America.

AB-InBev continues to espouse highly aggressive, predatory, and what we consider to be unethical practices that are to the detriment of the movement that we know and love that is craft beer.

We encourage all craft beer lovers to use wisely your power of choice when it comes to the company you keep and the beer you drink.

We who sign here support the craft breweries’ right to grow their business without unnecessary government intervention in our state. We want to see the self-distribution law in North Carolina change from 25,000 barrels to 200,000 barrels.
