JT has never been particularly interested in taking the shortest route. Especially when there's a brewery somewhere along the way. With the leaves changing and the temperatures dropping, our wandering b**r explorer has been logging a few more miles in search of something special. And this week, he returned with a little tropical sunshine and a whole lot of peanut butter-and-marshmallow goodness.

First up Going the Distance by Forbidden Root. This 6.3% Hazy IPA lives up to its name, featuring imported Riwaka and Motueka hops from New Zealand's Garston Hops. Bursting with lemon, lime, papaya, and grapefruit, it's bright, juicy, and wonderfully aromatic with a soft, easy-drinking finish.

Next up Sweet Baby Fluffernutter! by DuClaw Brewing Company. And then JT took a sharp turn down Memory Lane. This 6.2% Golden/White Stout brings together rich peanut butter and sweet marshmallow for a creamy, dessert-inspired b**r that tastes like childhood nostalgia.
