💔 For the past several months, we’ve been sharing the progress of what we hoped would be an exciting new chapter for our restaurant. We dreamed, planned, designed, and imagined all the memories that would be made in that space. Many of you followed along with us every step of the way, and your excitement made us even more excited.

Today, we have some difficult news to share.

After much thought, many conversations, and a lot of number crunching, we have made the difficult decision not to move forward with the new location.

This wasn’t the outcome we hoped for. Like many of you, we were looking forward to opening the doors and bringing our vision to life. We invested countless hours planning every detail, and stepping away from that dream is not easy.

However, after carefully evaluating the financial realities and risks involved, we realized that moving forward could put at risk the business that has supported our family, our employees, and our community for more than 20 years.

While this chapter is ending differently than we expected, our story is far from over.

Over the past several months, one thing became very clear: what we love most isn’t a new building—it’s serving this community. Because of that, we have shifted our focus to investing in the restaurant that has been our home for more than two decades.

We are excited to share that we are working with Tanger, the new ownership team at Levis Commons, on the possibility of expanding and renovating our current location. While details are still being finalized, our goal is to create an even better experience for our guests while continuing to serve the community that has supported us for so many years.

The vision may look different than what we originally planned, but the future is still bright.

We’re still here. We’ll still be serving the food you love, supporting local charities, celebrating special occasions, and welcoming familiar faces through our doors every day.

Thank you for following this journey, for believing in our family, and for supporting local businesses through both the exciting moments and the challenging ones.

For over 20 years, our family has been proud to serve this community. We believe that great food and great service start with great people.

Recently, one of our team members received a note from a party that was unnecessarily rude and disrespectful. While we understand that not every dining experience is perfect and we always welcome constructive feedback, personal attacks and disrespect toward our staff are never acceptable and will not be tolerated at our business.

Our employees work hard every day to create a positive experience for our guests. They deserve to be treated with the same kindness and respect that they show to others.

As a family-owned restaurant, we’ve always believed that hospitality is a two-way street. We will continue to support and stand behind our team members, just as they have stood behind us and our guests throughout the years.

To the countless customers who show patience, kindness, and appreciation to our staff—thank you. You help make this restaurant the welcoming place it has been for more than two decades.

New Menu Update Effective Tuesday, May 26, 2026

Like all of you, we are also experiencing rising costs on the items we purchase. Because of this, and due to the discontinuation of pennies, we will be making a few changes to our menu beginning Tuesday, May 26, 2026.

All menu prices have been rounded to even dollar or half-dollar amounts. In addition, our small bowl will increase by $0.51 to $15.50, and our large bowl will increase by $1.01 to $21.00.

We remain committed to offering the same quality you expect from us, and we have done our best to delay these price increases as long as possible. At this time, however, these changes have become necessary.

We are also adding a few new items to our kids’ menu:

- Gluten-free chicken nuggets
- Kids’ stir-fry
*These meals are available for guests 10 and under.

The kids’ stir-fry includes one meat option and will be prepared by our team. If you would like additional meat choices, you are still welcome to order a small bowl and customize it as usual.
