Our last TAP Talk of 2026 featured Suzie Canby Carlson (the history nerd in me rejoiced!)
Suzie is a lifelong Perry native whose passion for history made her a perfect fit to become the Perry Town and Village Historian in 2023 upon the retirement of Norma Spencer. Alongside safeguarding Perry's past, she currently serves as secretary for the Government Appointed Historians of Western NY (GAHWNY)
Suzie spoke about different historical agencys, who to turn to with your own questions or research, and about her plans for a future municipal museum. She also touched on her research for her book honoring Revolutionary War veterans who settled in Perry as well! What a ton of info and a great talk! Thank you so much- Everyone! Cheers! 🍻
