Thought we would share some fun on the riverfront today! We are open 12-8 if you are in the neighborhood!

PEORIA RIVERFRONT IS PACKED ON SUNDAY. 👇

If you were looking for something to do on Sept. 13, you could basically spend the entire day on the Riverfront — and all of this is FREE to attend.

🎨 Big Picture Peoria Street Festival
10 AM–4 PM
16+ hands-on art activities

🏀 GO DAY 2026
11 AM–4 PM
Sports, movement, performances and family activities

🐉 Peoria Dragon Boat Festival
11 AM–5 PM
Dragon boat races, Chinese culture and family activities
Racing is expected from 11 AM–3 PM

🏛️ Peoria Riverfront Museum — FREE ADMISSION
Noon–5 PM
All galleries, special activities, tours and Dome Planetarium programs

The museum also has its new “We Remember” 9/11 exhibition open, featuring artifacts and stories from the National September 11 Memorial & Museum.

⚠️ IMPORTANT PARKING NOTE:

Water Street will be closed from 11 AM–4 PM, and access to the Riverfront Museum parking deck will be unavailable during that time.

Your best bet: park elsewhere downtown and walk to the Riverfront.

And yes — the Dragon Boat Festival was the one we almost forgot about. 😂

Hi friends! We are doing two more knitting classes next week with a follow up Sunday knitting social if you need help or just want to join! My mom taught me to knit many years ago and we are teaching this class together! The bar has been keeping me busy, but like any true crafter I still keep buying pretty yarn and supplies!

We are hoping to prepare you for some homemade holiday gift motivation! Limited spots available so please comment or message for further details on advanced payment.

You will learn to cast on as well as basic knit and pearl stitches. Pattern, yarn and needles will be provided for $30.

Oh goodness! I could cry over this find at the Moss Avenue sales today! Stopped me in my tracks to say the least! My siblings and I played this game at my grandma’s house constantly, but her homemade board is now at the new grandma’s house (my mom), so to stumble upon this board today was so unexpected! This photo is a combo of many games played with my grandma, if we include a wiffle ball set and some popsicles or ice cream, we are pure childhood nostalgia for me!

I love donations, but sometimes you surprise me with something special! Can you imagine the memories this camera has captured? The birthdays, candid moments and family meals? It is easy to think now of capturing a moment in the palm of your hand, but this camera snapped so many intensional and focused (maybe unfocused) moments that live in shoe boxes and in storage now. Like so much of our thrifted stuff it really has life built into the threads of it.

I always wanted to open a place that felt lived in and I hope I can get this camera working again like our tv! We will see! If it only takes one more picture I hope it is of all of us together!
