📢 Attention New York Grape Growers: Federal Assistance is Available Now!

The USDA Farm Service Agency has announced $1.625 billion in assistance for specialty crop growers through the Assistance for Specialty Crop Farmers (ASCF) program, and grapes are eligible!

Here's what you need to know:
🍇 Fresh grapes: $650 per acre
🍇 Processed grapes: $225 per acre
💰 Payment limit: $250,000 per producer

Key Dates:
📅 June 1: Online enrollment opens
📅 June 8: Enrollment opens at FSA County Offices
📅 August 7: Application deadline

This is a one-time bridge payment based on your reported 2025 planted acres. Apply now at the link below before the August 7th deadline.

The Finger Lakes has always been about community, and last Monday, that community showed up 🍇✨

and were proud to host the Finger Lakes Wine Star Award Celebration, bringing together the growers, winemakers, and industry members behind the 2025 American Wine Region of the Year honor.

The evening featured Finger Lakes wines, light bites from Caitlin Costich and Culinary Arts Students, and remarks from NYWGF Executive Director Sam Filler and Wine Enthusiast writer-at-large . And of course, the Wine Star Award itself was on hand for the moment it deserved.

What an incredible experience at ProWine Tokyo! 🗾🍷

Earlier this April, New York Wines were represented on the world stage as part of our Export Program. Wineries from across the state came together in Tokyo to connect with international buyers, engage with sommeliers and trade professionals, and share what makes New York wine truly special.

From networking and new relationships to education, panel discussions, and pouring our wines for a global audience, ProWine Tokyo was a celebration of everything New York's winemakers have built, and a exciting look at what lies ahead for New York wine in the Japan market and beyond.

We are incredibly proud of every winery and individual who represented our state with such passion and dedication. 🥂
