Today we celebrate Lee Brice, a country singer and songwriter whose music has touched more lives than some folks may even realize. Born June 10, 1979, in Sumter, South Carolina, Lee built his career with a voice full of heart and songs that feel honest from the first line.

Before he became known for his own hits like “I Drive Your Truck,” “Hard to Love,” “I Don’t Dance,” and “A Woman Like You,” Lee was already making his mark behind the scenes. He helped write songs for some of country music’s biggest names, including Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, and the Eli Young Band.

One of his biggest songwriting moments came with Garth Brooks’ “More Than a Memory,” which made history as the first song to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. He also co-wrote “Crazy Girl,” a major hit for the Eli Young Band and one of the biggest country songs of 2011.

From writing history with Garth Brooks to singing his own truth on country radio, Lee Brice has built a career that feels personal, honest, and close to home.

Happy birthday to Lee Brice, a country voice who has given fans songs they can truly feel.

Today, country fans remember Ray Charles on his June 10 death anniversary, and his legacy still feels bigger than one genre.

Known as the Genius of Soul, Ray Charles changed American music with gospel, blues, jazz, rhythm and blues, pop, and country all living inside his voice.

For country music fans, his 1962 album Modern Sounds in Country and Western Music remains historic. He took songs like I Can’t Stop Loving You, You Don’t Know Me, and Born to Lose, and he showed the world that a great country song could cross every boundary.

That matters because country music has always been bigger than one sound. From Hank Williams and Patsy Cline to Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash, the best songs have always carried pain, truth, and soul.

Ray Charles understood that deeply.

His 2021 induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame only confirmed what fans already knew. He did not borrow from country music. He honored it.

Ray Charles proved that country music is not just about where you come from. It is about whether the song reaches the heart.

Happy birthday to Lee Brice, one of country music’s most heartfelt voices and a songwriter who knows how to turn real life into a song that stays with you.

Born on June 10, 1979, in Sumter, South Carolina, Brice built his name with songs that hit straight in the chest. I Drive Your Truck remains one of the most emotional country songs of the 2010s, while Hard to Love, A Woman Like You, Rumor, and One of Them Girls helped make him a steady favorite on country radio.

His music fits right into the tradition of country storytelling that fans loved from George Strait, Alan Jackson, Tim McGraw, and Kenny Chesney. It is honest, simple, and full of feeling.

Brice is also a Grammy nominee, a CMA and ACM award winner, and one of the most played country artists on Pandora.

On his birthday, country fans are not just celebrating another hitmaker. They are celebrating a man whose songs still feel personal.

Lee Brice keeps proving that honest country music still matters.
