Today we celebrate Lee Brice, a country singer and songwriter whose music has touched more lives than some folks may even realize. Born June 10, 1979, in Sumter, South Carolina, Lee built his career with a voice full of heart and songs that feel honest from the first line.
Before he became known for his own hits like “I Drive Your Truck,” “Hard to Love,” “I Don’t Dance,” and “A Woman Like You,” Lee was already making his mark behind the scenes. He helped write songs for some of country music’s biggest names, including Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, and the Eli Young Band.
One of his biggest songwriting moments came with Garth Brooks’ “More Than a Memory,” which made history as the first song to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. He also co-wrote “Crazy Girl,” a major hit for the Eli Young Band and one of the biggest country songs of 2011.
From writing history with Garth Brooks to singing his own truth on country radio, Lee Brice has built a career that feels personal, honest, and close to home.
Happy birthday to Lee Brice, a country voice who has given fans songs they can truly feel.
