ALEXAKIS ~ Vidiano Orange ~
Crete, Greece ‘24

Alexakis’ stunning, vibrant bright gold and amber hue results from intensive 30-to-60-day skin contact during fermentation - hence the “orange hue”. Expect Intricate aromas of bitter orange peel, dried stone fruits, marzipan, and a distinctive hint of savory mountain sage.

It looks like another hot week ahead- so we’re highlighting our refreshing, low-alcohol aperitivo “Vermut Roja and Soda” featuring Casa Mariol Negro Vermut. Their unique, dark-hued Spanish sweet vermouth from Catalonia is made with Macabeu grapes, sun-dried green walnuts, and over 150 local herbs.

Our classic Mediterranean staple opens up the rich herbs, botanicals, and spices of red vermouth with crisp effervescence, and perfect for pairing with these savory dishes:

The ultimate pairings Smoked Pork Belly Tacos, and Whipped Burrata with Fennel Tapenade

New dish alert! Crisp Skin Ora King Salmon paired with beautiful bubbles🍾 🥂
Often called the “Wagyu of the sea” because of Ora Kings’ high, healthy fat content, silky texture, and rich, buttery flavor. We glaze ours in Dijon and honey, dust with dukkah and sear to perfection, and serve with a forbidden rice and chickpea salad with pickled golden raisins and herb vinaigrette and tzatziki sauce.

Pairing Ch*****ne - or this week’s featured Cremant de Bourgogne Brut with Ora King salmon is an incredible culinary match! The high acidity and sharp bubbles slice through the rich oils of the fish, while the w**e’s brioche notes complement the savory depth of the salmon.

Also a reminder- we will close this Sunday at 2:30 to prepare for Sunday School W**e Tasting event- delicious Mediterranean noshes paired with a lovely Sancerre and Beaujolais. Sip and learn with our wonderful Sommelier and take a bottle home! More info and ticket link in bio and on our site.

Cheers!
