David Martinez, Jr. My QUOTES:
10 of my quotes to my Lifting & Rigging Specialists, Designers and Engineers, as well as my Clients, Riggers, Rigging Superintendents and Crane Operators:
• It is never too late to start learning.
• It is always too early to quit learning.
• We know For Sure “The Variables in
Rigging & Lifting are Infinite”.
• Therefore, for us who know and are
experienced and qualified, we must
without prejudice, share our known
knowledge and experience because
it may save someone’s LIFE.
• Our thinking process for Rigging and Lifting Planning, Engineering and
Ex*****on must be driven by the
thought of “The Protection of Lives
Limbs and Property”, and in That Order.
• Correct your Driver and Quit thinking
and looking for:
“What is the CHEAPEST way to do it”, and let your Driver move your thinking to “What is the RIGHT way to do it”.
• When the Right and Safest way to perform rigging and lifting work is your DRIVER, the price is always right because you will then have unveiled and mitigated the exposure to Lives, Limbs and Property.
• When we Experienced Crane Rigging & Lifting Ex*****on Personnel, Designers and Engineers encounter other responsible project personnel who do not know “WHAT RIGHT LOOKS LIKE”; don’t ridicule or defame and discourage them. Take the time to teach them “WHAT RIGHT LOOKS LIKE” and WHY. Remember, you may save the life and/or career of a fellow worker in
our industry, AND WE ALL NEED EACH OTHER.
• Our Craft of Rigging and Lifting and
Heavy Haul Transport has the highest
exposure to Lives, Limbs & Property
in our industry. So, don’t compromise
the absolutes you know and don’t guess
at the ones you don’t know.
• Get Rid of Egotistical Pride and Get
Help in its place so that you know you
have practiced giving your project and your fellow worker everything you possibly can in the deliberate attempt to experience 100% success for all of us.
May these quotes be used to help the thinking process we all can use for successful Rigging & Lifting & Heavy Haul Transport Events. Use these in the interest of the company you represent and your fellow worker.
When you are involved, their success is a reflection of your reputation and theirs.
Serve your employer with the intent to honor and please God and not man.
