Dear Customers,
All good things must come to an end…and this is a happy ending for me! After serving the Parker community for over 15 years, Vines Wine Bar is selling and will pour our last glass of wine on Sunday, November 8. Please do not see this as a COVID catastrophe, rather an opportunity to sell and move on.
I bought Vines in 2012, and during the past 8 years, I have been honored to be a part of your lives where we hosted many magical and meaningful events – baby showers, bridal showers, engagement parties, wedding receptions and rehearsal dinners…birthday celebrations, graduation parties, anniversaries, reunions, company meetings, and more. We shared wine dinners and wine tastings while learning about wines from around the world, and hopefully we provided a little bit of fun through our many events like our annual Rosé all Day, Winechella, or our famous Wine and Chocolate Pairings!
Vines was consistently recognized every single year in categories such as Best Wine Bar, Best Singles Spot, and Best Happy Hour through our annual “Best of the Best” competition and has been an integral part of our downtown business community, participating in the amazing events brought to Mainstreet – Wine Walks, Art Walks, Parker Days, Art in the Park, the Carriage Parade, and the Mayor’s Tree Lighting, and we have been featured in many different articles and magazines. We also supported many of you with school and other fundraisers that we were truly happy to contribute to.
Vines was hit hard during our COVID shut down when we were limited to take out only, but our awesome Parker community rallied around us and helped us through – to the point that we bounced right back and had a remarkable summer. Thank you so much for that support.
We invite you in over the next few weeks to say goodbye to your favorite staff members, take some great pictures, and even buy a bottle of your favorite wine to take home! I’ll let the new owners introduce themselves and their concept so they can do it their way.
I want to thank my most amazing servers, bartenders, hosts, managers, and kitchen staff – many of whom have been with me for years “making sip happen!” I have had multiple family members from the same family as employees, creating a strong sense of family among my staff. I also want to thank my many loyal customers who have become friends. My staff and customers have been supportive, loving, caring, and patient, yet were also never afraid to challenge us to be our best. I know we had some misses along the way – and I’m sincerely sorry for any of those , but I’m going to take the friendships and success stories with me.
There’s a reason why Parker has grown and achieved recognition as a great place to live. This community is truly one of a kind where people support local and take a sincere interest in the success of our businesses. I’m thrilled to watch a new concept come in and be welcomed into this outstanding community, and I look forward to seeing many of you there as I plan to continue supporting them the way that I have been supported all of these years. As the saying goes, every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end. It’s been a great 8 ½ years, Parker, and as Dr. Seuss once said, “Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened.”
Cheers to you!
Teresa
