Nothing fancy and you can pronounce all the ingredients. We believe in using the freshest ingredients of the highest quality. Hola my ROC’s family.

I regretfully come here to tell you all that, for the first time since 9-11-2002, I will not be at ROC’s to gather with you all and memorialize the day we were sucker punched.

An important work assignment has drawn me away from the ROC’s during this special time.

This will be the first time in many years, that I don’t walk into ROC’s after a formal ceremony somewhere in Southern California, wearing my Class A uniform and get to mingle among true patriots, true American civilians, off duty cops and firefighters, and close friends.

I’ll miss the bagpipes at ROC’s this year as well.

Especially being the 25th anniversary, being away for the annual ROC’s Firehouse 9-11 gathering is a difficult thing for me to do.

Being fully aware, maybe overly cognizant at times, Jayme and I never wanted to exploit 9-11 for financial gain at ROC’s.

We never advertised or made formal plans for gatherings at ROC’s on every single 9-11, starting with 2002.
Even without spreading the word via email (there was no Facebook back then 😂) and word of mouth, ROC’s was always full of patriots.
Every year was standing room only for pretty much the entire time we were open.
Each of us shared our thoughts and experiences and became closer to each other.

Many times, travelers just “stopping by for dinner” were blindsided by bagpipes and an onslaught of American pride.
They had no idea what they were walking into.
Their dinner on their way to Arizona was one they’ll never forget.

I for one, was always a better man for having been at ROC’s each anniversary and experiencing true patriotism.

So please, amigos.

Don’t let my absence keep you from memorializing the nearly 3000 innocent men, women and children that were brutally murdered cowards.

Missing this year will be difficult for me.
I’ll surely find a suitable memorial in this unfamiliar city to attend, to give my respects and to Never Forget.
