Wild Hare Books is Sarah Almond and Nathan Sisco, two curious individuals with a love of great books and delicious wine who moved to Oxford, NC in January of 2021. They were immediately delighted by the town's hospitality and charm. The idea for Wild Hare was borne out of a love of the local community, and Sarah and Nathan's desire to bring folks together. The goal of Wild Hare is to be a true “th

ird place” that celebrates the transformative power of reading, language, and communication, as well as the joy of gathering to exchange ideas, anecdotes, and the tallest of tales. When we ask "What's your story?," we're sticking around to hear the answer.

Ready for some Tuesday Brews? We are! Just like white shoes, this deal is good clear through the summer to Labor Day. Stop in anytime on any Tuesday and help yourself to a $5 draft beer. We're currently pouring Burial Surf Wax IPA and Burial Helles Lager. Come in, cool off, enjoy a cold one. Five dollars every Tuesday.

We’re baaaa-ack! Three is the magic number, and we’re ready to quit Mediterranean style on Thursday. Our special drink is “The Paisan” (pie-sahn, Italian for homie), which features Spanish red wine, raspberry, and citrus—absolutely refreshing!

Munchies this week *may* have been informally but favorably reviewed at the bar last night: artichoke tapenade over manchego cheese, all topped off with a sun-dried tomato cream and fresh parsley. Come see us early so you can take your Paisan around town!

I don’t know about y’all, but I’m about ready to quit this week already! The good news is is right around the corner—whew. Come check out our crostini special this Thursday…roasted asparagus on SAB baguette with fresh spring peas, mint, and lemon, topped with a tangy buttermilk dressing. $3 each! Pair it with an Aperol Spritz and watch your cares (and hunger) melt away.
