Feather’s H***y Tonk is the brainchild of Scott Michael, owner of Oxford’s popular Rooster’s Blues House. “I think that this location, on this side of town, is perfect for a honky-tonk with old-school country music,” says Michael. “We’re the only place in Oxford with an outdoor music venue and dedicated live country music.”

Country bands from all over the south hit the stage on Friday and Saturday nights. “Bands from North Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama are scheduled to perform,” says manager Zach Clolinger. Chef Jared Foster (you know him from Landshark crawfish) is in charge of the menu, which focuses on serving the Oxford community top-quality, fresh food. “We’ll have 24-hour-fresh White Tag oysters from the coast; fresh crab from the east coast; and my newest creation, Landshark Bites, where I fry French bread and stuff it with crawfish, Rotel cheese and vegetables," says Foster. With a variety of beers, hand-selected wines and a cocktail list that includes drinks made with Hendrick’s gin and Tito’s tequila, you won’t leave Mr. Feather's thirsty.
