To all of our Shakers family and friends I'm sorry to say that our precious Harley Ray lost his battle with cancer today! I know how so many of you loved him and played with him for his 11 years with us . We are so sad beyond words. He was the best dog and member of our family. He will be sadly missed. Thanks for all the prayers. He did not suffer but for a very little time. It happened so quick. We are thankful for that! And thankful for the time he was with us and gave us so much joy!

Update on Harley Ray Ray! Seems to be doing better! Eating soft food now and loves it! Been making him drink lots of water! Playing ball! .... Love him! Prayers work! Thanks to all!!!

To all our friends and patrons update on our Harley Ray Ray! Some days are good and some days not so good! He doesn't seem to be in pain! But not playing like he normally does. And not really moving much! Not like him at all!! It breaks our hearts to see him with no spirit! Tomorrow may be better...No words....

Most everyone who has come in to HD Shakers knows our beloved Harley Ray! He will be 11 years old April 18th. We regret to say with so much sadness that Harley Ray has been diagnosed with skin cancer! He has brought so much joy to us, and I know so many of our friends and patrons over the years!! Will keep everyone updated on him and say a little prayer that the time he has left is not in pain! Thanks to all....

Looking at all of the pictures on FB of the Christmas parade yesterday it makes me sad to think that this would have been our 14th annual Toy run for the Shrines children's Hospital. And later the underprivileged children of Owensboro! Our Patrons and friends were all so generous every year! We would get a huge truckload of toys for all the kids. Then we would come back to the bar to 3 BIG pots of soup and watch the Christmas parade. Hot chocolate for the kids who would watch the parade from our parking lot. I bet the City of Owensboro didn't know or even care about that! But we did......
