Ever wonder where meat raffles came from?

The beloved bar game of chance has earlier roots in the U.S. than many realize.

🥩Help Support Meat Raffles in Our Communities 🥩

A long-overdue policy update for Minnesota charities that raise funds through meat raffles has been stalled by state Representative Tim O'Driscoll of District 13B. 🛑

You can make a difference by reaching out to respectfully ask that he grant a hearing for Bill HF 4090, which would make a modest adjustment by allowing paddlewheel chances to be sold for up to $5 each and increasing the allowable prize value to $200. This would not change how the games operate – it would simply allow charities to better align pricing and prize values with current costs.
