These free events (Thursdays in June 6-9 pm) are a wonderful way for the entire Ouray community and families of all ages to enjoy great music, warm evenings and picnics in Fellin Park at Ouray’s favorite outdoor event. All of the bands that perform at the Mountain Air Music Series share a passion for music and commitment to small communities, as do our sponsors. Each Thursday, two different emergi

ng bands with unique styles are presented. The featured musicians attract their own audience of loyal followers as well as a wide variety of music lovers in the community and throughout the region. Regardless of each week’s music genre, a core following of the Western Slope Concert Series, which includes the Ridgway Concert Series in July and Pickin' in the Park in Paonia in August comes to Ouray to enjoy a summer filled with free music. Each week, we bring awareness to local nonprofit organizations like the Ouray Public Library. Each week, you will find a different nonprofit in the beer tent serving up libations and working for tip money. All the tip proceeds are given to these nonprofit organizations as a contribution to their causes. You’ll also find local restaurants serving up their signature menu items as food vendors fill the park each week. Everything from kettle corn to smoked ribs and ice cream to hot chocolate is available each week. Bringing the entire community together at these family-friendly concerts is our core value. Local event-lovers are encouraged to volunteer each week of the series, and we are always looking for in-kind donations. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit committed to organizing and promoting the economic performances, events and programs and supporting the development of public facilities in Ouray, to further the community’s engagement with the arts. Over the past three years, we have contributed to improve Fellin Park’s public facilities. We have partnered with the City of Ouray’s Parks and Recreation and Beautification Committees to upgrade the Fellin Park’s electrical infrastructure and we are currently saving funds to build a permanent stage for our park. Over the course of the upcoming years, our goals will focus on establishing a Music Education Scholarship.

We are so stoked to head into this week- because on Thursday, June 11 we have Nik Parr and the Selfless Lovers headlining the show with local fav opener You Knew Me When!

Nik Parr & The Selfless Lovers are a high-energy, piano-driven roots rock band hailing from Austin, Texas. Imagine the raw passion of Bruce Springsteen colliding with the electrifying showmanship of Jerry Lee Lewis—New Orleans late-night revelry infused with Southern soul and a Texas Gulf Coast groove. And if that’s not enough, Nik Parr takes it to the next level, playing saxophone and piano at the same time—you’ve got to see it to believe it.

Known for their dynamic live performances, Nik Parr & The Selfless Lovers have shared the stage with some of the biggest names in roots music, including Marc Broussard, Rebirth Brass Band, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Black Joe Lewis, The Soul Rebels, Dumpstaphunk, The Heavy Heavy, Shinyribs, The Damn Quails, Eddie 9 Volt, Two Tons of Steel. With a relentless touring schedule of over 150 shows per year across the country, the band continues to build a dedicated following.

You Knew Me When is a husband and wife folk-rock pairing based in Ouray, CO, by way of Nashville, TN. The duo have toured nationally since June of 2012 throughout North America sharing their collective sound featuring what Jennifer Savage (North Coast Journal) calls "fragile folksy melodies with an elegant, edgier sound," and what Ben Salmon (Bend Bulletin) describes as "beautiful harmonies and pillowy acoustic guitar." Now touring in support of their fourth studio album "Songs of the San Juans", You Knew Me When continue to create and serve up an array of Colorado inspired compositions coast to coast.

We are so excited!!! We’ve been waiting for today all year- nothing says summer is here like the Mountain Air Music Series!
It all starts tonight (Thursday, June 4) at Fellin Park at 6pm. We have A.J. Fullerton and Grant Sabin kicking off the series and the great volunteers from Ouray Public Library pouring Wibby Brewing beers plus wine and cocktails!
Food trucks will be on site serving up delicious eats and treats! Well behaved dogs allowed (but please pick up after your pets), and no outside alcohol is allowed (remember the beer tent supports local non-profits and the music series itself)
As always- these events are free, family friendly and open to the public. We can’t wait to see you tonight!

Tomorrow is the day! Thursday, June 4 marks the first night of our 2026 series!
A.J. Fullerton and Grant Sabin will be co-headlining for a great night of blues!
We have Wibby Brewing beer being served up by our great Ouray Library crew as well as wine and cocktails!
We’ll have food from Sunrise Burritos Armando’s Tacos, Marmots Açaí, Polar Express, Sunny Thai, Colorado Cuban, and Dippity Donuts
It all starts at 6pm- This event is FREE and family friendly, no outside alcohol, well-behaved dogs welcome and fun for all!

Week one of our June concert series brings us co-headlining with for a night of blues! Mark your calendars for Thursday, June 4!

Grant Sabin is renowned for his hard work as a musician and songwriter, performing throughout Colorado and beyond. As a solo artist he’s been captivating audiences for years with his raw voice and dynamic stage presence. As a band leader, he turns the volume up to 11. Drawing from his Delta blues influences, Sabin’s unique musical style is characterized by his biting slide guitar, soulful growl, and heartfelt lyrics.

Sabin has shared the stage with and supported artists like: Post Malone, T Model Ford, Patrick Sweaney, Booker T Jones (Of Booker T and the MGs), Otis Taylor, Guy Davis, Los Lobos, G-Love, Charlie Parr, John Fogerty and more.

His honest and convincing approach to the blues, folk, hip-hop and rock genres makes him one of the rare few to possess innate musical talent. It’s no wonder people say he is one of those performers who “just has it.”

Starting our June concert series off with an amazing musician! Catch co-headlining with on Thursday, June 4!
Originally from Montrose, Colorado, A.J. Fullerton is a Nashville-based roots-rock artist known for his slide guitar, soulful vocals, and modern take on Blues and Americana. Performing since the age of 14, He has developed a distinctive style rooted in fingerpicking, bottleneck slide, and open tunings, drawing influence from Mississippi John Hurt, Ry Cooder, Taj Mahal, Garret Mason, and Blake Mills.
Fullerton has opened for artists such as Robert Cray, Jimmie Vaughan, Samantha Fish, Charlie Musselwhite, and Christone “Kingfish” Ingram. His 2021 album The Forgiver & The Runaway debuted at #1 on the iTunes Blues Chart, while his 2024 release Closer debuted at #7 on the Billboard Blues Chart. Beyond his solo work, he has produced and co-written Billboard-charting releases for artists including Tony Holiday.
Fullerton is a 24-time Colorado Blues Society Members’ Choice Award winner and was named one of “75 Modern Blues & Blues Rock Artists You Must Hear” by Blues Muse Magazine.
