Blarney Irish Pub

Blarney Irish Pub 3800 sf. patio... Daily Drink Specials...Occasional Entertainment...Vegas Style gaming machines... This bar was moved in Oct. 1958 from LaSalle St.

in downtown Ottawa, IL. It was called" McMahon & Dougherty", in which at that time was and still is just a neighborhood bar, where people from all over come to meet & drink. In 1972 it was renamed "Blarney Pub", where a big boulder called the "blarney stone" was put in front of the door to represent the blarney stone in Ireland where you kiss it for good luck. In 1980, it was renamed " Blarney Ir

ish Pub". In 2009 it was renamed "Blarney Gardens" (because of the 3800 sf patio added at that time for outdoor entertainment, which don't get much use since the City of Ottawa, banned outdoor music after 10pm on weekdays & 12am on weekends, shortly after the patio was put in. It is now back to "Blarney Irish Pub", still with the "blarney stone" in front & outdoor patio. The Blarney Irish Pub is home to the Blarney Irish Pub Softball "3-peat" team in city rec. softball league. It has been owned by one family since 1980. We have bag leagues, dart leagues and a horseshoe pit.
