It’s official! We are going to be back up and running today. Ron gets home from vacation and I hope he is thoroughly surprised and happy with what we’ve done! He knew about the floor and a new cooler. Today’s special is goulash, peas and cottage cheese!

My grandson has three lights to dust yet…. Today.

Good morning Bambinos customers! We are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel!!!!! I plan to be open for sure by Wednesday morning as Ron returns from vacay on Wednesday afternoon. The remodel took a few days longer than planned but it is coming along beautifully! The floor guy will finish today. Coke cola will be arriving today I think? Decorah Mobile Glass will be coming tomorrow to assess a new back door. We have a couple fridges and a freezer to clean yet along with getting the ice machine hooked back up. Even though it was Sunday yesterday, we managed to fit in 14 hours of work. It was definitely a haul “butt” kind of day. For those of you who noticed the cans in the basement on some of my previous pictures, they are all gone and cleaned up. We are excited for y’all to see the change and to get back open very soon. Did I mention that I have thee bestest family and friends!!!!! Thank you again for your continued business.

Some demolition and progress photos. We have taken on quite a bit but it’s coming. You know what it’s like during any remodeling process, one thing leads to another. It’s went from a new floor to many other things. We are painting, installing new coolers, adding some plumbing, new sink, some electrical outlets, reinforcing the back door and just a lot of deep down cleaning. Thank you all for your continued support and to those who have been helping out. We couldn’t do this without our army.

This Saturday, June 20th, @ 1:00pm., there will be a mass/service with military rites at St. Francis Catholic Church in Ossian to celebrate my dear friend, Denny Timp. Some of you may know that Denny is featured in my second children’s book, Ruford Visits The Northwoods as the grumpy gopher. Denny may have came across as “grumpy” but deep down we each had a soft spot for each other! Anyway, after the mass there will be a light lunch and then we are hosting a little memorial cheer/celebration of life for Denny at Bambinos around 2:15. All are invited!

Due to me, (Sue) being under the weather AGAIN, we will not be having a Friday night special tonight. I will be taking some rest time. Also, there have been a few days in the afternoons where we have closed for a couple hours. This may continue. These are usually because Ron needs to mow, he keeps up four places, and I am in need of a nap. Unfortunately, since March 1, when my appendix perforated and I had emergency surgery, I have had a series of ailments. Ranging from twisted colon, C-Diff, Influenza A, and Pneumonia. Today as I write, I am back to the Dr.’s office for a recheck of pneumonia. I start to feel good and then my body doesn’t let me do as much as it used to. It’s one of the hardest things I’ve had to deal with throughout all this is learning to cut back. Just felt I needed to share what was going on in case some of you have wondered or tried to get in and the door was locked. We are sincerely sorry for any inconvenience. Have a wonderful day.
