💚 Happy Siblings Day! 💚

Love runs deep in all families! Filipinos use their language to show the special bonds between sibling.

An older sister is called Ate (pronounced AH-tay)
An older brother is called Kuya (pronounced COO-yah)
The youngest is called Bunso (pronounced BOON-so)

Here are our Manila siblings: Ate, Kuya,and the bunso!

(We don’t actually call Marie bunso because she wasn’t supposed to be the youngest. 😉Instead, we used their Lola’s (grandma’s) dialect of Ilocano and we call her Ading (AH-ding) which means younger sibling.)
