The Serradella is a classic parkland design with minimal hazards, wide fairways and large greens. With over 50,000 annuals and perennials meticulously arranged and showcased throughout The Serradella and resort, our floral gardens will take your breath away!

UPDATE: After the clubhouse was lost in the May 2025 fire, our focus has always been on rebuilding thoughtfully and intentionally while staying true to what Lakewood Shores means to our guests, staff, and community.

Today, we’re proud to share the first renderings of the new Lakewood Shores clubhouse. These designs represent months of planning and reflection, and they mark a major milestone in our journey forward.

While the loss was deeply felt, the future is taking shape. We’re grateful for the continued support, patience, and encouragement as we work to bring the heart of Lakewood Shores back even stronger than before.

Fall Updates from Lakewood Shores This year has been a journey, and we’re so grateful for your support—it truly kept us going.

Course upgrades: new equipment, rebuilt bunkers, overseeded fairways, and aerified greens for firmer, faster play. Wee Links revival: re-grassed greens, reseeded fairways, and brand-new walking mowers for next season. Clubhouse progress: floor plan complete, renderings coming soon, plus a bigger covered patio with an outdoor bar.

Major offseason improvements are underway at Lakewood Shores as we work to restore The Gailes to its original links-style design. Tree and brush removal is reopening sightlines and bringing back the authentic character that defined the course when it first opened.

These updates are part of owner Kevin Aldridge’s continued investment in elevating the entire resort.
Current projects include upgraded golf carts, new maintenance equipment, refreshed lodging, and progress toward a new clubhouse with expanded social spaces.

Additional bunker renovations on The Gailes are scheduled for spring.

Our team remains committed to enhancing course conditions, facility quality, and the overall guest experience. More updates to come as we prepare for the 2026 season!

UPDATE: All tee boxes across all three courses at Lakewood Shores have been aerified!

Aerification is a key part of golf course maintenance — it relieves soil compaction, improves turf health, and ensures stronger playing surfaces for the long term.

Our work here is just getting started, and even in the coming offseason we remain fully committed to improving course conditions from top to bottom.

Update from Lakewood Shores

Kevin Aldridge and his team have been working hard all summer to refurbish the bunkers at Lakewood Shores. As shared in our open letter, we are committed to improving the golf course conditions at the resort to ensure an excellent experience for all our guests.

We’re heartbroken to share that our Lakewood Shores clubhouse was lost to a fire overnight. While the damage is significant, we are incredibly grateful that no one was hurt.

Our heartfelt thanks go out to the first responders who acted so quickly. We remain committed to the future of the resort and will rebuild with the same spirit that has always defined Lakewood Shores.
