We are hearing of so many restaurants being judged unfairly and staff being treated poorly. Does everyone understand whatās going on? These are such very crazy times and the adaptation we have had to make would absolutely blow your minds. The new rules and regulations put forth by the state have made our jobs 10 times more difficult to keep those of us safe as well as those who wish to come in and dine safe, so please understand we are taking extra steps just so you can come in and enjoy yourselves. Restaurants in general are understaffed as the work visas got cancelled. So many people are working doubles as well as no days off just to help stay afloat. Many places are closed a day with no notice, they didnāt do this to ruin your vacation or to throw a wrench into your plans. Some people just need to sleep and unwind from the stress of working so much. Itās not about you, donāt worry. And many establishments have not updated their website,hours or offerings, cause things may change daily. Again, not about you! Itās something many of us cannot keep up with due to out of stock issues on our end with suppliers So please donāt be upset with us when our websites or even menus might be different or change at a moments notice, some things are out of our control. And all of these expectations from our staff and our food, I have noticed based on other complaints Iām hearing or seeing out there (in this instance Iām referencing a yelp review I read on another restaurant), the expectation was that the food should be more delicious and tasty than ever before, as people are tired of having to cook at home for themselves. Really? Thatās got to be a joke right? Nope it wasnāt. So please people, understand and have patience, this is way different for us too. And the reviews.......should be shut down for now. Holy cow! We donāt come to your work and judge, while tearing you apart about a mistake. Guess what we are human. We make mistakes. Be kind. Be grateful you are able to come out to eat as there are many who have not been able to leave their homes during this pandemic. Oh, and did I mention this was a pandemic? Something none of us have been through before? Something no one could have prepared us for? Right, thereās that! So lay off the poor reviews and trashing establishments and staff. We take that to heart and it eats at us daily. The restaurant establishments have taken the biggest beating from all of this. Figure it out people. Donāt you remember your mom saying if you donāt have anything nice to say then donāt say it at all? Letās do that! Because we arenāt calling your bosses, writing a review for all to see, and degrading you at your core if you make a mistake. So donāt do that to us. And for gods sake show some compassion when a mistake is made. Itās not going to kill you. It just makes you human too.
