We’re back! Just kidding.

But back on our platform to ask for help from our fans, friends, and fam.

This past year has been an othermucker and lots of us are feeling like we’re turning a corner. But it’s not all so easy and clean and nice for everybody.

If you’re able please please consider helping a friend, colleague, and gem of a human in her fight against cancer.

Just think about how much money you have saved not being able to visit us (sorry, not sorry) and please consider contributing the price of a drink, a round, or entire bar tab of debauchery toward a worthy cause instead.

Why? We are all products of our past and there would have been no Champagne Champagne without countless influences, experiences, and colleagues and Missa is a big one.

Boundless hospitality and kindness, ability to work a room, schmooze with guests lined way too deep at the host stand and jokes, jokes, jokes, and pranks.

Missa is the current point-leader in a prank war with Brian (it’s not even close) but WITH YOUR HELP you can make him able to continue an absolutely embarrassing losing record for years to come!

AND IF YOU ACT NOW (and send a DM with a screenshot of a donation of any amount - YES EVEN $1) you will get a custom recording of Brian telling the world’s funniest/worst squirrel related joke you have ever heard. I swear this makes sense/is totally stupid but will make your day/and maybe just maybe make your cold, dead heart will beat a little livelier like if you shared space with Missa!

A lot of people have asked us about what is next. We’ve got plans, but we’re still letting go and still taking apart the past, adjusting to the present, and looking to the future.

Moving from curating our own wine selection to buying with someone else’s palate at the helm isn’t new, but it’s a tender transition right now and we couldn’t be luckier to have Cole Sisson () of helping us through it.

Not only has he had our back in our own upheaval, he’s been fielding the upheaval of his business by hustling and calibrating to all this craziness with curb-side pick up, delivery, and shipping and he’s keeping it accessible and thoughtful.

Go online. Buy his wine. Help keep the momentum of Orcas Island wine culture going. Your support gives us all a clearer path forward.

Cole is killing it right now and we all deserve good juice while we weather this storm. Hit him up.

As always stay tuned for our next adventure and stay safe.

P.S. These particular bottles are quarantine spring break. Drink them and into your backyard party mode.

Not gonna lie y’all, taking our place apart and getting ready to move on is really really hard.

But our new neighbors ( & ) who just took over are bringing their hospitality A-game to this pandemic chaos. They saw us having a tough time and they swooped in with the kind of comfort food that we all need right now (swipe left for hard hitting old school chicken pot pie). Not only are they continuing to stay open by providing grab and go, they’re also doing really cool locally focused meal kits with delivery options.

They might be new to the neighborhood, but they’re going to take care of all of us and right now that’s the kind of hospitality we all need. Welcome to the landing guys. @ Orcas Island Ferry Landing

CLOSING FOR GOOD.

We know all of our feeds are full of news of temporary closures and changes to the hospitality business as usual. It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we are announcing the permanent end of Champagne Champagne as we know it.

We were unable to reach a lease renewal agreement with our landlords and we’ll be out by May 15th. Some of you know the dirtier details of our struggles for security as well as the legal issues with the building and our landlords. To keep it brief, we have run out of options with them and we’re tired of the abusive nature of our relationship with them.

We’re strong, we’re resilient, and we’ve been on the ropes before and succeeded despite of them, but we’ve also been held down by them. It’s cold comfort that instead of seeing our vision to fruition we’re being released from the burden of being held back.

The support and friendships born of this project are immensely meaningful to us. Nothing can take that away and we are so grateful for having had the opportunity to forge these connections.

Moving forward, this reality paired with the COVID-19 means that we need to evaluate our hours and what the coming weeks and months mean for how we say goodbye. We want everyone to get a chance to say goodbye so if you’re around, grab a bottle, hang out in a quarantine-y way, and soak the last of this babe in. We will update social media as we formulate these plans, but in the meantime please remember we also have a retail license which allows us to sell wine, beer, and cider to-go including growler fills.

Until the time we deem it necessary to be to-go only we will be using this opportunity to have a flexible and dynamic wine-by-the-glass program where we pop bottles that move us or what you desire that otherwise might never be BTG.

This is bound to be a period of intense grieving, and while we know we will bounce back it is hard to imagine literally deconstructing our dream as we prepare to move out and move on.

If our space and our work has meant something to you we'd love to hear about it and if you can help lift us up in these hard times it would mean the world.

We’d be lying if we said we haven’t had a serious case of the Mondays (or maybe it was the Januarys and Februarys), but spring is finally in the air!

Daylight Saving Time tonight, sunset after 7:00 pm tomorrow, Spring Equinox around the corner, flowers popping, and buds breaking!

This week we’ve had our hands in the dirt, planting seeds, amending soil, and embracing growth and change.

A few selections from our current BTG list highlight our focus on spring and looking toward summer. Come solo or with friends and shake off winter.

Still thinking about what to do tonight, but don’t want to get turned sideways? We’re open late with Champagne, of course, and featuring five different bubbles by the glass including popping some Cru Champagne as well as more wallet friendly bubbles from around the world.

Today only we’re offering 10% off all bubbly bottles for here or retail.

So whether you’re looking for a quiet but fun night out, you want to bring the party to us, just pop in to pick up a host gift, or a six-pack of beer or bottle to share wherever you’re heading we’ve got you covered.

Thanks for another great year and here’s to us collectively putting out some fires in 2020 and beyond. 🍾🍾

I married this total babe, who even looks amazing while totally pi**ed in the middle of a stressful move, 358 days ago.

We didn’t take a honeymoon yet based on the needs of our fledgling business

Due to some unfortunate circumstances we’re taking our yurt down next week, including perhaps on our anniversary, and this must be done by the end of the month.

I’ll be reaching out directly to some and making another post for volunteers on particular days to find help but this is an early call for interest and availability to help with yurt deconstruction, cleaning, drying, transport, and other miscellaneous tasks.

We don’t have a lot to offer but if anybody can help with time, muscle, or vehicles to make this easier we would love to host you at Champagne Champagne when we finish for a thank you/anniversary party.

Comment, DM, and share in anyway to express interest or spread the word if you might be able to help and I’ll reach out further to find if you can help when we need it. Thank you thank you thank you thank you.

In honor of just a little beer post of our ever-changing lineup of cans and bottles (not pictured: draft beer currently including and and our selection of local and international ciders and kombucha).

Thanks to all the organizers. While we were trapped in our bar we benefitted from a great crowd of beer enthusiasts and industry friends.

P.S. This Aslan packaging just gets better and better. 😍

Pro tip: with a warm enough jacket our hillside and patio are never “Not in Service.” A nice glass of red wine or a dark beer (we’ve even got koozies) out in a storm is still a good time and you can always come back inside to warm up.

is on with all week. We are highlighting some great producers by the glass from Germany, Spain, and France all week (as well as 5% off bottles from these countries, including champagne!). Prices in parentheses represent the likely future costs of these wines with the current excessive 25% tariffs. We’re joining many small businesses across the country to highlight how these tariffs will hurt small businesses home and abroad and the impact on the consumer.
